October 13th Construction Update

Due to resource availability and conflicting schedules, the contractor has not been able to make progress on the project for the past couple of weeks. The contractor, however, still anticipates concrete and asphalt work to be completed before the end of the year in Phase 3 and 5. The contractor will have Phase 2 substantially complete next week once the remaining sidewalk is in place.

The contractor plans to be on site starting next week Monday in Phase 3 working on concrete driveways, sidewalks, and approaches. The concrete is estimated to take 7 working days. The contractor will asphalt Phase 3 once all of the concrete is in place so that they will be able to open up the phase to the public.

The contractor began unclassified excavation in Phase 5 earlier this week when they found that there is a private utility conflict which will delay the projects progress until the private utility is relocated. The underdrain will be the last utility in Phase 5 which the contractor is estimating will begin in the middle of next week. The contractor is estimating that Phase 5 concrete and asphalt will be in place by the middle of November.
